About Us

Our Mission: ThanksForYourService.org has a dual mission of acknowledging the valor and sacrifices of our troops who have served and are serving their country here and around the world and to fund charities that help our troops, our veterans, and their families. We are NOT a political organization. We are proud citizens who are trying to organize millions of Americans to show their gratitude to the troops by signing the Wall of Thanks™ and sending eCards to our servicemen-and-women and their families.

Why "Thanks For Your Service": Because it needs to be said. We believe that it is important to have a dedicated place where all American citizens can come to show their appreciation and Thanks for the service and sacrifices made by the brave men and women of our Armed Services. We have created a place, the Wall of Thanks, where our troops and veterans can come and see, writ large and in stone, how much their fellow countrymen and women appreciate and honor their service.

The Thanks Store: In addition to the Wall of Thanks and eCards, please visit our 100% Made in the USAThanks Store. When you proudly wear these wristbands, T-Shirts, caps or put a vehicle magnetic on your car you are showing your thanks, contributing to charity, and getting other citizens to join us in saying Thanks For Your Service to our troops and veterans.

Our sponsor: We are thankful to Month2Month.com, a leading eCard web site. All the considerable expense to produce this site and keep it active has come from the folks at Month2Month.com who deeply believe in this mission. Please consider visiting our sponsor and using their free eCards.

About the charity:

Our goal is to partner with worthy charities benefiting our servicemen-and-women and veterans, by contributing a significant amount of the proceeds from the sale of Thanks Gear. We support the following charities:

The Armed Forces Children’s Education Fund, Inc. (AFCEF) was established on May 1, 2003, the first day of National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM). The purpose of the non-profit corporation is to be able to financially assist the educational needs of the surviving children of the U.S. Military men and women who lost their lives on or after October 7, 2001, the commencement of Afghanistan operations, as part of the global war on terrorism defined as "Operation Enduring Freedom". This education fund for the children of those fallen heroes is just a small way for Americans to say “thank you” for the ultimate sacrifice made in the name of freedom. www.afcef.org

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund was formed in October 2001 in response to the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan following the tragic events of 9/11. In October 2003 the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund was established to supports American military personnel who have been severely wounded in the operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Fund is constructing a world class state-of-the-art advanced training skills center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas to aid in their treatment and recovery.  www.fallenheroesfund.org

The MarineParents.com web site is for parents (Moms AND Dads), spouses, family and friends of our Marines and Recruits to gather for support during boot camp, training, active duty, floats, and deployments. Our mission includes four distinct areas: Informing, Connecting, Sharing, and Supporting. Marines at forward operating bases in Iraq and Afghanistan do not always have access to purchase needed items such as toiletries, food, paper, pens and reading materials. Contributions to MarineParents.com ships are used send care packages to Marines overseas.  www.marineparents.com
